Football Recap: Rio Grande Takes a Loss

Rio Grande's last matchup with Del Norte could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Ravens came up short against the Knights, falling 32-6. The Ravens have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Del Norte had a senior duo take command as Isaac Alatriste rushed for 178 yards and one touchdown and Keandre Wyatt rushed for 79 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Those 178 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Alatriste.

Rio Grande's record is now 0-7. As for Del Norte, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Rio Grande and Del Norte will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Ravens see the field they'll take on Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Del Norte, their break will end when they face Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
