Columbus has gone 7-1 against Hardaway recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Columbus Blue Devils will look to defend their home pitch against the Hardaway Hawks at 8:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Columbus is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: McIntosh, who was ranked seventh at the time (Columbus was ranked 25th). Columbus lost 6-0 to McIntosh on Thursday. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Hardaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Kendrick.

Hardaway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Columbus took their victory against Hardaway in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Columbus repeat their success, or does Hardaway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
