Softball Recap: Long County Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Long County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Richmond Hill Wildcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Tide have posted since August 16th.

The win (which was Long County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Richmond Hill, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.
