Football Recap: Bishop Amat Comes Up Short Despite Mac Naughtin's Big Defensive Game + How To Watch

Bishop Amat was the 47-42 winner over Vista Murrieta when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Lancers and the Broncos didn't end well, with the Lancers falling 29-10. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Lancers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Bishop Amat still got an impressive performance from Ryan Salcedo, who rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown. Raymond Castro also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.

Even if they lost, Bishop Amat's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Mac Naughtin was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Bryson Beaver was nothing short of spectacular for Vista Murrieta: he threw for 186 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 51 yards and one score on only seven carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Beaver has posted since back in October of 2024. Vista Murrieta's leading receiver Cash Bryant was Beaver's top target yet again, picking up 108 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Bishop Amat's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Vista Murrieta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
