Bernstein piles up the points against Belmont

The Bernstein Dragons stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Belmont 59-8 on the road. With Bernstein ahead 35-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Bernstein was led to victory by Marlin Mendez and Odali Rivera. Mendez scored 11 points, while Rivera scored 15 points. Rivera has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Bianca Juliano was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Bernstein pushed their record up to 17-8 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Belmont, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Bernstein does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Belmont will head out on the road to take on Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Contreras is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
