Preview: Redwood vs. Mt. Whitney

Redwood is 10-0 against Mt. Whitney since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Redwood Rangers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mt. Whitney Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Redwood will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Redwood can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They never let Golden West onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Redwood's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last eight matchups.

They hit Golden West with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emmah Garcia (2), Alyssa Hernandez, Leah See, and Addi Beal.

Meanwhile, Mt. Whitney has not won a game since January 19th, a trend which continued on Tuesday. They and Monache finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Redwood is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3-3 record this season. Mt. Whitney's draw makes their record 6-15-3 on the season.

Everything went Redwood's way against Mt. Whitney in their previous matchup back in January as Redwood made off with a 6-0 win. Will Redwood repeat their success, or does Mt. Whitney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
