Volleyball Game Preview: Warhill Lions vs. New Kent Trojans + How To Watch

The Warhill Lions will head out to take on the New Kent Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Warhill sitting on four straight wins and New Kent on seven.

It was a proper cat-fight when Warhill challenged Bruton on Monday. The Lions walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, New Kent earned a 3-1 win over Bruton on Wednesday.

New Kent was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Warhill better keep an eye on Brooklyn Wiles. She was instrumental in New Kent's win, getting 17 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Wiles a new career-high.

New Kent was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 25 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Warhill's record is now 4-2. As for New Kent, their record now sits at 7-0.

Warhill couldn't quite get it done against New Kent in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
