Soccer Recap: Winters Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Winters can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Petaluma Trojans on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Winters' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those five matches. As for Petaluma, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Winters does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Petaluma, they will face off against Fresno Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fresno Christian will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Petaluma surely won't give up without a fight.
