Basketball Recap: El Segundo Falls Short of Culver City in the Playoffs

El Segundo and Culver City squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but El Segundo had to settle for second. They took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Culver City Centaurs. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 55-42 to them when the teams met back in December of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

El Segundo's loss dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Culver City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

El Segundo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Culver City, they will square off against Cerritos at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Cerritos sitting on eight straight victories and Culver City on ten.
