Baseball Recap: Walnut Grove's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Walnut Grove suffered their closest loss since March 4th on Friday. They fell just short of the East Forsyth Broncos by a score of 3-1. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncos earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Walnut Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Martell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Walnut Grove's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for East Forsyth, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut Grove will host Apalachee at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for East Forsyth, they will square off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
