Soccer Recap: River Islands Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for River Islands after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Millennium Falcons by a score of 2-1. The Riptide's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Serena Mendoza, who's now up to two this season.

River Islands' loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Millennium, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

River Islands has already played their next match, a 5-5 draw against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy on the 13th. As for Millennium, they will challenge Delta Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
