North Mac was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past the Athens Warriors 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2022.

Camden Earley was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Earley was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Earley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Luke Alexander, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

North Mac's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Athens, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Mac will face off against Carrollton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Athens, they will take on Beardstown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
