Basketball Recap: King City Skates Past Seaside with Ease

King City hadn't done well against Seaside recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The King City Mustangs blew past the Seaside Spartans 51-15. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

King City was led to victory by Crystal Paramo and Alizah Carrillo. Paramo posted 11 points in addition to five boards and five steals, while Carrillo went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points and five steals. Carrillo is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Katia Slama was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

King City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.
