Fountain-Fort Carson took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Pueblo Centennial, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 11-9. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brynlee Torres made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Torres was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Maya Aguilar was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Naliyah Jordan also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
