Recap: Foothill Knights vs. Tustin Tillers
The Foothill Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their tough 51-28 loss to Tustin might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Foothill in their matchups with Tustin: they've now lost three in a row.
Foothill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maleah Paige, who scored 9 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Perez, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds.
Foothill has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Tustin, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Foothill is on the road again on Monday and play against Fountain Valley at 4:30 p.m. on December 11th. Tustin won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against University at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. University will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 960th, while Tustin is ranked 450th).
