Basketball Recap: Edison Vikings vs. Weston Ranch Cougars
The Edison Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Weston Ranch as Edison made off with a 59-34 victory. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for Edison this season.
Edison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aniyah Wilson led the charge by scoring 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ajaila Jordan, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Edison, bringing their record for this year to 8-11. As for Weston Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.
Edison won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Delta Kings at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Stagg will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
