Baseball Recap: Fort Kent Comes Up Short

Fort Kent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caribou Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 two weeks ago.

Kyle Paradis made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Fort Kent's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Caribou, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Fort Kent will take on Stearns at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season. As for Caribou, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Old Town at 12:00 p.m.
