Recap: Leadership vs. Latitude Lynx

Leadership had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They put the hurt on Latitude with a sharp 40-20 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Leadership has posted yet this season.

Leadership's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hannah Tagaga, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Tagaga is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Hazel Goundar, who scored eight points along with six steals.

Leadership pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Latitude, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Leadership will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP King at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. KIPP King is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Latitude, they will head out on the road to challenge AIMS College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. AIMS College Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
