McGill-Toolen had already won 26 in a row and they went ahead and made it 27 on Thursday. They came out on top against the Vestavia Hills Rebels by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Catherine Mcclain paced McGill-Toolen's offense, picking up 20 kills. Mcclain got some help from Alice Wood and her 39 assists. Mcclain also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bella Smith, each putting up three.

McGill-Toolen's victory bumped their record up to 33-2. As for Vestavia Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.

As of now, neither McGill-Toolen nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
