Soccer Recap: Monroe Area Starts Season with Win Against Social Circle

Monroe Area took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Social Circle Redskins a 5-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Gabriel Portillo as he scored three goals for his team.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe Area will face off against Ola at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Social Circle, they will challenge Morgan County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
