Baseball Recap: Castle Takes a Loss

Castle lost to Evansville Mater Dei back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-3.

Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Castle is set to challenge their familiar foe Evansville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Evansville Mater Dei will face off against rival Evansville Reitz at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
