Uniontown skates past Bentworth with ease

Recap: Uniontown Red Raiders vs. Bentworth Bearcats

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chartiers-Houston, the Uniontown Red Raiders were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 46-19 win over Bentworth. This was payback for Uniontown, who suffered a 45-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amber Sallee, who scored 10 points. Sallee scored a full 52.6% of Bentworth's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla O'dell, who scored 6 points.

The victory got Uniontown back to even at 1-1. As for Bentworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Uniontown will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Connellsville. Bentworth will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washington at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th.
