Softball Recap: Pataula Charter Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Calhoun County

It was a proper cat-fight when Pataula Charter Academy challenged Calhoun County on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 25-3 margin over the Cougars. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sophie Conner made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up three earned runs but no hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and four runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Kayleigh Berry was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Zyion Clark was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
