Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Diablo vs. Hercules

The Mt. Diablo Red Devils will square off against the Hercules Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mt. Diablo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Mt. Diablo is headed into Saturday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since December 6. They and Ygnacio Valley finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Hercules hasn't lost a match since January 6th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They played to a draw too, finishing 2-2 against Salesian College Preparatory. The result (or lack thereof) marked Hercules' first draw of the season.

Madison Aquino was the only thing that stood between Hercules and a shutout considering she scored both of Hercules' goals, bringing her season total up to 28 goals.

Mt. Diablo's draw gives them a new season record of 7-9-2. Meanwhile, Hercules' record is now 6-4-1.

Mt. Diablo got the 'W' when the teams last played back in December of 2025 against Hercules by a conclusive 5-1 score. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
