Baseball Recap: Perth Amboy Comes Up Short

If Perth Amboy was feeling good fresh off their 19-1 takedown of New Brunswick last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 22-18 to the Dunellen Destroyers on Tuesday.

Darielbis Ricard made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with seven RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Amauris Peguero, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Perth Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Dunellen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Perth Amboy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dunellen, they will head out on the road to face off against South Hunterdon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
