Basketball Game Preview: Northern Cambria Colts vs. Glendale Vikings

The Northern Cambria Colts will challenge the Glendale Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Northern Cambria comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Northern Cambria is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Conemaugh Township on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Northern Cambria was beaten by Conemaugh Township 52-16. The Colts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.

Meanwhile, Glendale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. The contest between them and Williamsburg didn't end well, with Glendale falling 58-41. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Blue Pirates are ranked 118th).

Northern Cambria will have to contain Madison Peterson as she made an impact in Glendale's last game. She posted 23 points. That was a full 56.1% of Glendale's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brielle Mcmillen, who earned nine points.

Glendale now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Northern Cambria, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
