Basketball Recap: Glendora Comes Up Short

Glendora has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Claremont Wolfpack on Thursday. The Tartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolfpack from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Glendora still got an impressive performance from Ronnie Herrmann, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The match was Herrmann's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zylee Espinoza, who posted two points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Glendora's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Claremont, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendora will head out to face off against Bonita at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendora is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Claremont, they will venture away from home to challenge Ayala at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ayala is on a three-game streak of home wins, Claremont a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
