Football Game Preview: St. John Tigers vs. Macksville Mustangs

St. John hasn't had much luck against Macksville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. St. John has given up an average of 41.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. John is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Stafford to the tune of 68-38 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Macksville had to suffer through a 64-6 loss at the hands of Victoria. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Macksville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

St. John came out on top in a nail-biter against Macksville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 30-28. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
