Basketball Recap: Bethany Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tuttle last Tuesday, Bethany came back down to earth. The Bethany Bronchos fell to the Newcastle Racers 53-49. The loss continues a trend for the Bronchos in their matchups with the Racers: they've now lost five in a row.

Bethany's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Newcastle, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Bethany will take on Clinton at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Newcastle, they will face off against Coweta at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newcastle is facing Coweta at the right time seeing as Coweta is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
