After a string of three wins, Algoma's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wrightstown Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Charlie Prokash put in work no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Prokash was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Jonah Dahms was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

Algoma's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Wrightstown, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Algoma will face off against Luxemburg-Casco at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wrightstown, they will square off against Xavier on Thursday.
