Dynamic duo of Betzie Hernandez and Julia Almaraz lead Piner to victory

Recap: Piner Prospectors vs. St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs
The Piner Prospectors lost to the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs back in January, but the Piner Prospectors didn't allow the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Piner secured a 37-32 W over St. Vincent de Paul. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Piner.
Leading Piner to victory were Betzie Hernandez and Julia Almaraz . Hernandez scored 13 points, while Almaraz scored 13 points. The game was Hernandez 's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Piner has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Piner will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Sonoma Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. St. Vincent de Paul will be home for the holidays to greet Sonoma Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sonoma Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
