Softball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the West Laurens Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Tuesday.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for West Laurens, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will head out to face off against Veterans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for West Laurens, they will head out on the road to square off against Howard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
