Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rocky Mountain). Everything went their way against the Mead Mavericks on Saturday as they made off with a 14-7 win. This was payback for the Lobos, who suffered a 20-19 loss the last time these two teams met.

Grace Brown was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those runs were her first of the season. Sophia Meyer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Rocky Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

The victory got Rocky Mountain back to even at 2-2. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Rocky Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Riverdale Ridge on the 23rd. As for Mead, they have also already played their next game, a 13-2 defeat against Fort Collins on the 23rd.
