Softball Recap: Peach County Takes a Loss

If Peach County was riding high fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Rutland on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans came up short against the Lowndes Vikings on Friday, falling 11-2.

Shaniyah Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Peach County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lowndes, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Coming up, Peach County will head out to square off against Emanuel County Institute at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lowndes, they will face off against Mead at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
