Prairie strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Linn-Mar Lions a 10-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Prairie's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Linn-Mar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Prairie and Linn-Mar will both be playing Valley the next time they take the field. The Fighting Hawks will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
