Softball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Oconee Academy was the 6-5 winner over Thomas Jefferson Academy when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars on Thursday. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Lola Slaughter was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Moore, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Lake Oconee Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lake Oconee Academy nor Thomas Jefferson Academy have any future games scheduled.
