Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Athens Academy). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cedar Shoals Jaguars an 18-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Spartans, who after eight games remain undefeated this season.

Athens Academy's record is now 8-0. As for Cedar Shoals, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens Academy will face off against Lake Oconee Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Cedar Shoals, they will square off against East Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
