Softball Recap: Aspen Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Aspen's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Gunnison Cowboys on Tuesday. The Skiers were not able to make up for their loss to the Cowboys from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Aspen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Lapin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Emily Mavrovic also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Aspen is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13. As for Gunnison, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

While Aspen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
