Softball Recap: Tekamah-Herman Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pierce, Tekamah-Herman was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over Highway 91. The Tigers haven't had any issues with Highway 91 recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Lydick, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Olson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tekamah-Herman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Tekamah-Herman's record now sits at 10-14. As for Highway 91, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-22.

Looking ahead, Tekamah-Herman will be taking part in a tournament against Centennial at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. Highway 91 does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
