Softball Recap: McIntosh Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times McIntosh and Northgate had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Chiefs came up short against the Vikings on Tuesday, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in September.

McIntosh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that Adams has snagged this season.

McIntosh's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Northgate, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McIntosh will welcome Whitewater at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northgate, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ola at 5:30 p.m.
