Soccer Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

Westminster's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Fullerton Indians by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while the Indians are ranked 229th).

Westminster has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season. As for Fullerton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5-3.

Westminster will head out to face off against Santa Ana at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fullerton, they will take on Calvary Chapel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fullerton is facing Calvary Chapel at the right time seeing as Calvary Chapel is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
