Softball Recap: Grand Junction Central Warriors vs. Palisade Bulldogs

Grand Junction Central won the last time they faced Palisade and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Sophie Aragon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bryle West was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Davanee Young, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Grand Junction Central's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Palisade, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.
