Basketball Recap: Marshall Eagles vs. Mountain View Vikings
In what's become a running theme this season, the Marshall Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Mountain View on the road to the tune of 59-25. The win was nothing new for Marshall as they're now sitting on five straight.
It was another big night for Destiny Ihiaso, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Madelyn Degooyer was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Mountain View, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mountain View also has no future games currently scheduled.
