Basketball Recap: Kern Valley Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Kern Valley meant business on Tuesday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Broncos squad that has allowed just 28.25 points per contest. The Kern Valley Broncs strolled past the Bishop Union Broncos with points to spare, taking the game 70-55. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-33 back in December of 2024.

Jessie Bunting continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Jayda Bushling, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Kern Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristin Allen, who went 8 of 13 en route to 23 points. Tannyr Ludwick was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 15 points and six boards.

Kern Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Bishop Union, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
