Baseball Recap: Princeton Gets the Win

While Princeton's victory against Middletown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Middies 3-1. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Middies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Princeton got a great performance from Brendan Randolph Foster as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, Randolph Foster posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Princeton let Manuel Sanchez Gonzalez and Josh Davis run wild. Sanchez Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Davis went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Davis has posted since back in April.

Princeton's record is now 16-9. As for Middletown, they are on a 22-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22.

Looking ahead, Princeton will challenge Wyoming at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Middletown, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Archbishop Moeller at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th.
