Softball Recap: Cambridge Beats Lambert for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Cambridge extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 4-0. They skirted past the Lambert Longhorns 3-1. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

As for Lambert, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since September 14, 2024.

For Lambert's part, Payton Yi made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Jamison, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge will square off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lambert, they are taking a road trip to take on Pope at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
