Soccer Game Preview: Marist vs. Carmel

The Marist RedHawks will square off against the Carmel Corsairs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marist's offense. They came up short against St. Patrick on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Carmel's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Niles Notre Dame by a score of 1-0. Carmel have struggled against Niles Notre Dame recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Marist's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-1.

Marist beat Carmel by a goal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 1-0. Will the RedHawks repeat their success, or do the Corsairs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
