St. Mary proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 41) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars 52-49. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals who have now won 13 contests in a row.
