Soccer Recap: West Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Valley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Live Oak Lions by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for West Valley and nudges their season record down to 12-8. As for Live Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

West Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Live Oak, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Live Oak face off against Lowell at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lowell comes in on 13 and Live Oak on seven.
