Baseball Game Preview: Dimond Lynx vs. West Anchorage Eagles

The Dimond Lynx will venture away from home to face off against the West Anchorage Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dimond is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Service, who was ranked second at the time (Dimond was ranked eighth). The Lynx lost 11-4 to the Cougars on Wednesday.

Jaden Estigo made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Cooke, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, West Anchorage got the win against Bartlett on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-3. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won seven in a row.

West Anchorage's victory bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Dimond, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Dimond came up short against West Anchorage when the teams last played last Tuesday, falling 4-1. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
